How the Rental Process Works
Here is an overview of the rental process:
- Contact us to inquire about the villa’s availability for your dates. The easiest way is to complete the form on the Inquiry page.
- We will confirm availability and send you a quote (sometimes multiple quotes if you have date flexibility). Each quote includes a link to view all your quotes in our online system; there is no obligation to review them.
- When ready, book the villa online using the link in your chosen quote. You can select optional services and see an exact total with taxes—no hidden fees. A 20% booking deposit is required to secure your reservation.
- Pay your booking deposit. You may mail a cheque or bank draft, or send a bank wire transfer (a $25 processing fee applies, plus any bank fees). Most guests pay securely online by credit card or PayPal via your personal Online Reservation Page.
- Eight weeks before arrival, the remaining rental balance is due (your deposit is applied). You’ll receive an email reminder and a link to your Online Reservation Page to submit payment; automatic reminders are sent when payments are due.
- Submit the security/damage deposit as a credit card authorization at least two weeks prior to arrival. Nothing is charged unless needed; an amount is simply held on your card.
- About ten days before arrival, we’ll email an information package with villa details, maps, directions, and an emergency contact number for our local support staff.
- You’ll receive a unique front-door access code and instructions. The code is valid only during your rental period and is time-specific. Arrange any early arrival or late departure in advance if available.
- After departure, we complete an inspection, inventory, and utility audit (typically within 14 days, up to four weeks). If there are no issues, your credit card authorization simply expires and nothing appears on your statement.
- We’ll invite you to complete a brief post-stay survey—your feedback is appreciated.
